Build a Grass and Leaves Mulcher

These plans are for a gas or electric powered mulcher. It will make grass and leaf mulch for the home and garden.

With the heightened modern interest in organic gardening, it's comforting to know that people have been promoting it for years.

Any organic gardener will tell you that the best compost and mulch is homemade. But often, making mulch and compost is time consuming, and buying good quality compost is expensive.

This machine uses a push reel lawn mower blade and a 3 hp gas engine to shred and make mulch from lawn waste. It's not a chipper, but it will make a fine mulch from grass clippings and leaves.

With your homemade mulch, you can immediately put it on flower beds, or compost it to make the nutrients more available to the plants.
